Web pages are created and modified by using professional HTML editors.
If you are learning HTML then use a simple text editor like Notepad for windows or TextEdit for Mac. Using a simple text editor is a good way to learn HTML.
Follow these steps to create your first web page with Notepad or TextEdit.
1.Open the Notepad from start menu or search for it.
2.To open TextEdit Open Finder > Applications > TextEdit.
change the preferences to get the application to save files correctly. In Preferences > Format > choose "Plain Text"
Then under "Open and Save", check the box that says "Display HTML files as HTML code instead of formatted text".
Then open a new document to place the code.
3.Write any HTML code in notepad.
4.Save the file. Open the File then select the save as Notepad menu.
Name the file as what you want with .htm extension and set the encoding to UTF-8
5.Open the saved HTML file in browser by click on the file or right-click on the file and choose "Open with". 
Your web page will look like this.
