There are 50 countries in Europe but whenever we hear of Europe, destinations like Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, St. Petersburg, and Manchester, cross our minds. And eventually they become our dream places to visit. However, there is more to Europe than it meets the eye. Europe has a lot to offer and many beautiful destinations to explore and travel. This article enlists some spectacular landmarks in Europe that are not most likely unknown. 

Prague is the capital and largest city in the Czech Republic. The city has a temperate climate, with warm summers and chilly winters. It has been a political, cultural and economic centre of central Europe complete with a rich history. Prague is home to a number of famous cultural attractions, main destinations include Prague Castle, Charles Bridge, and Old Town Square with the Prague astronomical clock, the Jewish Quarter, Pet?ín hill and Vy?ehrad. 

The city has more than ten major museums, along with numerous theatres, galleries, cinemas and other historical exhibits. Also, it is home to a wide range of public and private schools including Charles University in Prague, the oldest university in Central Europe. Prague was ranked sixth in the Trip advisor world list of best destinations in 2016. 

This coastal Croatian city has gained popularity with travelers in recent years thanks to its picturesque location on the Adriatic Sea, its UNESCO-sanctioned Old City and its seafood-centric cuisine. This place is a photographer?s dream. Fun fact, Dubrovnik was the main filming location in Croatia for King's Landing, the capital of the Seven Kingdoms in the TV show Game of Thrones. 

Tbilisi is the capital and the largest city of Georgia, lying on the banks of the Kura River with a population of approximately 1.5 million people. Tbilisi has been home to people of multiple cultural, ethnic, and religious backgrounds, though it is currently overwhelmingly Eastern Orthodox Christian. Its notable tourist destinations include cathedrals Sameba and Sioni, Freedom Square, Rustaveli Avenue and Agmashenebeli Avenue, medieval Narikala Fortress, the pseudo-Moorish Opera Theater, and the Georgian National Museum. 

Many of Bucharest's tourist attractions offer insight into the communist history of the city, including the Palace of Parliament, which features 1,100 rooms and is billed as the second largest administrative building in the world. Visit the Museum of the Romanian Peasant and the Village Museums to gain insight into the history of the diverse Romanian people. Also, Bucharest is a foodie?s paradise. 

With its seemingly untouched countryside and popular wine region, the landlocked Moldova is a fairy tale country hidden in Eastern Europe. Travelers should experience the stretch of country that surrounds Orheiul Vechi, a cliffside complex on the R?ut River that dates back thousands of years and is home to a monastery, baths and more. Wine lovers should head to Nistreana, known for its delectable red varietals, and Codru, where you'll find impressively large cellars.
