Indians are everywhere around the globe, and in the recent times Indians have been playing a major role in technology field. The wide tech field offers a platform for the Asians to showcase their capabilities and talents. According to a study conducted by Egon Zehnder (a global executive search firm) there are more Indian CEOs than any other nationality after Americans in global companies. Time magazine once termed India as the ?the ideal training ground for global bosses? and I guess us as Indians it a thing to feel proud of. 

Well, let?s look at some of the global leaders in the IT field that are Indians. 

Pichai Sundararajan or Sundar Pichai is an Indian-American business executive and the current Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Google LLC. The 46 year old took the charge of one of the biggest companies on the planet in 2015. Born in Tamil Nadu, Pichai earned a degree in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, West Bengal. He joined the company in 2004 and led the roll out of chrome and oversaw some of its key apps such as Gmail and Maps. 

 

Satya Nadella is an inspiration for most of the young talent on the globe. The 51 year old, Satya Narayana Nadella is an American business executive from India. He is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Microsoft, succeeding Steve Ballmer in 2014. Before becoming the first Indian as a CEO of Microsoft, he was Executive Vice President of Microsoft's cloud and enterprise group, responsible for building and running the company's computing platforms, developer tools and cloud computing services. The Hyderabad born electrical engineer played a major role in shifting the company to Cloud Computing. 

Meet another Indian from Hyderabad who went on to become the CEO of one of the world?s leading software companies, Adobe. After 9 years of regular work at Adobe, Shantanu was appointed as the CEO in 2007, prior to this he had been the president and chief operating officer since 2005. He went to Hyderabad Public School in Hyderabad. Narayen earned a bachelor's degree in electronics and communication engineering from University College of Engineering, India, an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master's degree in computer science from Bowling Green State University, Ohio. 

Ajaypal Singh Banga is an Indian American business tycoon and the current president and CEO of Mastercard.In 2010 Banga took the post, previously he had been Mastercard's president and Chief Operating Officer (COO). Presently, he is also the chairman of the U.S.-India Business Council (USIBC) representing more than three hundred of the largest international companies investing in India. He is also a member of International Business Council of the World Economic Forum. Banga received the prestigious Padma Shri award in 2016. You will be surprised to know that Ajaypal Singh Banga, Shantanu Narayen, Satya Nadella are the graduates from the same school in Hyderabad, that is the Hyderabad Public School.  

Rajeev Suri is a Singaporean Indian business executive and the chief executive officer of Nokia.The 51 year old was in New Delhi, India. Presently, he is a Singaporean citizen and is based in Espoo, Finland. Rajeev Suri has a Bachelor's of Engineering (Electronics and Communications) from Manipal Institute of Technology. With than 20 years of international experience, Rajeev has worked in roles comprising strategy and M&A, product marketing, sales, major account leadership, regional and business unit leadership and has lived in Middle East, Asia, Africa and Europe. He worked for multinational corporations in India and Nigeria before joining Nokia in 1995.
