First of all, let me take a moment to quote Vladimir Putin. 

 

He says, 

The Russian President always stands on his words and his people similarly repay the favor. On Sunday, Putin won the Presidential elections for the 4th consecutive time. Putin was in competition with seven minor candidates. 

It was certain that Putin would win the elections, more than 56 million of Russia?s 110 million eligible voters backed Putin. Putin won 76.6% of the vote, and the turnout of 67.47 percent was higher than the 65 percent participation rate in the last presidential election, in 2012. 

 More than 30,000 crowded into Manezh Square adjacent to the Moscow, Kremlin for a victory concert and to listen to what Putin had to say after the win. Putin praised them enthusiastically for their support ? ?I am a member of your team, and we are bound for success.? he promised 

 The election came amid escalating tensions with the West, with reports that Moscow was behind the nerve-agent poisoning this month of a former Russian double agent in Britain. UK and Russia last week announced expulsions of diplomats over the spy case and the U.S. issued new sanctions. Also, observers and individual voters reported widespread violations including ballot-box stuffing and forced voting, but the claims are unlikely to dilute the power of Russia?s longest-serving leader. 

After Vladimir Putin took the lead of Russia on New Year?s Eve 1999 after Boris Yeltsin?s surprise resignation, Putin?s electoral power has centered on stability, a quality cherished by Russians after the chaotic breakup of the Soviet Union. A former KGB spy having no face in public became popular during 1999, a modern man rose to become the future of modern Russia. In one of the world?s busiest cities, the streets are empty for Vladimir Putin?s motorcade; 12 million people simply disappear on Putin?s inauguration day. 

 There is no question that Mr. Putin is wildly popular among Russians. His picture and his campaign slogan, ?Strong President, Strong Russia,? blanketed the country, and many voters who supported him echoed that sentiment. Russian voters gave President Vladimir V. Putin resounding approval for a fourth term on Sunday, with nearly complete figures from the Central Election Commission showing him winning more than three-quarters of the vote with a turnout of more than 67 percent. 

Mr. Putin?s closest competitor was Pavel N. Grudinin, 57, the Communist Party candidate; preliminary results showed he got around 13 percent of the vote. Mr. Grudinin, the millionaire director of a farming enterprise, the Lenin State Farm, had vowed to restructure the economy and nationalize industries.

Vladimir Putin is a former foreign intelligence officer, a lieutenant colonel, a badass leader. He is serving as President since 1999 and this will be his fourth term as president in the office, so a man being elected to serve as a President for a long span must have some qualities, which undoubtedly make him the best.
