Elon Musk does not need an introduction; there was an era of great innovators like Da Vinci, Edison and Steve Jobs, men whose contribution changed the course of technology. Another name that can be added to that list is that of Elon Reeve Musk, a man who today is changing the face of technology, innovation, and creativity. 

This South African-born Canadian American business magnate, investor, engineer, and inventor has numerous great innovations to his credit, the impact of which is unimaginable. 

Do you know that the resident of LA during the launch of SpaceX?s Falcon 9 were shocked as the launch caused hysteria, they thought that is was an UFO invasion. This is how far the Musk impact has gone. 

1. A Plan to Build a city on Mars -Musk has ambitious plans when it comes to space exploration. Through SpaceX, Musk would one day like to see humans live, work and play on Mars. And he thinks we could be on the red planet pretty soon, arriving by 2025.He proposes a ?direct democracy? on the planet. He also plans to have the BFR refuel in space for trips to the moon, so a lunar base will not need to store a supply of fuel. 

 "It's 2017. I mean, we should have a lunar base by now, what the hell is going on?" Musk said for his interplanetary adventure, however, he acknowledges that fuel would need to be produced on Mars to send the BFR back to Earth. 

2. Fast travel with Hyperloop - Hyperloop is an entirely new mode of transportation that eliminates all travel complications and objections due to cost, travel time and weather conditions. It is a 5th form of transport after Vehicle, Airplanes, Boat and Trains proposed by Elon Musk. Hyperloop will allow traveling as fast as the speed of sound; the Hyperloop will be faster than today's conventional methods of transportation, at about 760 MPH. 

Completely self sufficient, solar panels placed along the track produce excess amounts of the energy that is actually required to run the system. The climate controlled capsule travels inside of a reinforced 'tube' pathway, rendering the Hyperloop weather independent and earthquake safe due to the use of pylons. 

3. Go anywhere on Earth in an hour-Before planning to go to Mars, Musk intends the rockets he'll use on the Martian trip be used on Earth to make travelling at supersonic speeds possible. The BFR, as it's called, would travel at speeds approaching 27,200kph. In theory, the BFR could reach any destination on Earth within an hour ? most trips would take less than 30 minutes. 

4. To Develop a James Bond-style submarine car- Remember the Lotus Esprit submarine car that features in Bond film The Spy Who Loved Me? Well, when that car was sold at auction a few years ago (to the tune of around $1 million), its anonymous buyer was in fact Musk. Musk wants to take the prop and turn it into a transformable car - yes, you?d actually be able to press a button and, hey presto - see you motor convert into an underwater vehicle. 

When he bought the prop, Musk said: "I was disappointed to learn that it can't actually transform. What I'm going to do is upgrade it with a Tesla electric power train and try to make it transform for real."

 5. To build superfast Electric Jets- Still, in Musk?s thought catalogue, he is considering the possibility of electric supersonic jets that will basically have ?vertical take-off and landing With this in action, electric motors could have a fan to propel the aircrafts and then they won?t need a runway to fly, making airports shorter.
