What are Lists and its Uses in Microsoft Word Document?
For example: 
Lists are primarily of two types: bulleted and numbered. It is useful when we want to make a list of items, or write some steps to do a task, etc.
- Click Start.
- Select All programs--> Microsoft Office--> Microsoft Word. Or click on the Microsoft Word icon on your desktop.
- Type the items of the list one below the other hitting ENTER (RETURN) Key on the keyboard after every item of the list.
- Select the items of the list using your mouse or shift + arrows.
- Click on FORMAT.
- Select BULLETS AND NUMBERING.
- This opens a dialog box, make sure bulleted tab is on.
- You can select a particular style of bullets.
- After selected the style, click the OK button.
To make a numbered list,
- Type the items of the list one below the other hitting ENTER (RETURN) Key on the keyboard after every item of the list.
- Select the items of the list using your mouse or shift + arrows.
- Click on FORMAT.
- Select BULLETS AND NUMBERING.
- This opens a dialog box, make sure Numbered tab is on.
- You can select a particular style of numbers.
- After selecting the style, click the OK button.
When you want a list to have sub items/headings and sub-sub headings, use Outlined Numbered List. Other list styles can also be selected.
