A Recap of 2018

Last year was tremendous, and it seems like what the hell just happened, we are already in 2019. We must have lost track of things that happened in the last twelve months, but don't worry we've got a quick refresher on 2018. A lot of things occurred during this year and it feels that it has flown by real quick. There have been important political meetings, ball tampering, world cup, tallest statue built, a car in space, revolutions and many more things. Let's take a quick recap of the incredible 2018.

A lot of things occurred during this year and it feels that it has flown by real quick. There have been important political meetings, ball tampering, world cup, tallest statue built, a car in space, revolutions and many more things. Let's take a quick recap of the incredible 2018. 

• A print of “Trolley Hunters” by Banksy was stolen from the site of a Toronto exhibition of the artist’s work when a man sneaked into a Toronto warehouse wearing a black jacket, a green camouflage baseball hat and blue jeans. He was caught carrying the $38,000 print on surveillance video 
• Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War got released and became the biggest worldwide film opening since 2002 ($640,521,291). Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk and the rest of the Avengers unite to battle their most powerful enemy yet -the evil Thanos. 
• Prince Harry and Megan Market tied the royal knot and Markel became the first person of mixed race heritage to marry into the British royal family. 
• The Philadelphia Eagles beat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl, the Eagles fought like hell to win their 1st Super Bowl and final score was 41 Eagles-33 Patriots 

• The Indian Government legalized gay marriage the Section 377 was abolished by the Supreme Court. 
 • Teens from all around the world started eating Tide detergent pods — despite the fact that eating them can be lethal. They filmed themselves doing it; it was called the “Tide Pod Challenge.” 
• A 'Thanks' was painted on a rooftop where a pregnant woman was rescued by the Navy during the floods in the Indian state of Kerala during 2018. Over 483 people died, and about a million people were evacuated. 
• Emma González survived the Parkland, Florida shooting and became an American activist and advocate for gun control. As a high school senior she survived the February 2018 Marjory Stone man Douglas High School shooting in Parkland, Florida, and in response co-founded the gun-control advocacy group Never Again MSD. 

• Women in Saudi Arabia were allowed to drive for the first time in over half a century. 
• Kim Jong Un and Donald Trump agreed to meet in Singapore to end their long ongoing battle. Peace was achieved as South Korea decided to denuclearize the state. 
• Bieber got engaged to model Hailey Baldwin while Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra got hitched in India. 
• Drake was on the top charts with God's Plan, Nice for what and the Kiki Challenge. Also, we can't forget the Alle Delle challenge and the K-pop sensation BTS that made 2018 insane. 

• Mark Zukerberg and Sundar Pichai had to testify in the Congress for allegations of selling personal data of its users to companies like Analytica. 
 • France took the FIFA World Cup 2018 home by defeating Croatia. However, Croatian captain Luka Modrik broke the Messi, Ronaldo monopoly and took home the Ballon D'or. 
 • The 2018 Winter Olympics, officially known as the XXIII Olympic Winter Games were held in PyeongChang, South Korea 2018. Norway topped the medal tally with 14 Golds, 14 Silver and 11 Bronze in this international winter multi-sport tournament. 

• At 597 feet (182 meters), India’s Statue of Unity of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel is now the tallest statue in the world and can be clearly seen from space. 
• Fire in California killed at least 85 people and destroyed billions in property. 

 • David Warner, Steve Smith, and Bancroft were banned from International Cricket for 12 months a result of being involved in a ball-tampering scandal against South Africa. 

• Elon Musk sent a Roadster in Space and launched the Falcon 9 rockets. Also, not to forget he smoked weed on a radio show in America. 
 • Also, World's last male northern white rhino, Sudan died in Kenya.
