Inditex was founded in 1985 by Amancio Ortega as a fashion distribution group with headquarters in Arteixo (A Coruña) in Galicia. The acting CEO is Pablo Isla (since 2011). Today, Inditex includes eight brands such as Zara and Bershka, Pull and Bear, Massimo Dutti, which are represented in 88 countries around the world. Together they operate more than 7,000 stores worldwide.

Inditex is present in 96 markets in the five continents, with more than 7,000 stores.57% of the factories are located near the headquarters in Arteixo (A Coruña, Spain) and around 49% of the business is also done online. 
Amancio Ortega has a net worth of 64.5 billion making him the 6th richest person in the world after Jezz Bezos, Bill Gates, Mark Zukergberg, and others. With Inditex, Amancio Ortega is the richest retailers in Europe.
