All the prison escapes reach to us as stories, but there are movies that help us experience the operation in real time. These types of films intimidate us and maybe even a majority of us consider this as our favorite genre. During his time in jail he befriends Red. Andy stays in the jail for almost 19 years until one day the guards find his cell empty. Over two decades Andy had dug a tunnel with a rock hammer that he had smuggled. After escaping the prison he withdraws the laundered money from some banks that he discovered at Shawshank.
