CBSE Class 12 Results: Analysis

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results this afternoon on the official website of the board -- cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in. This year the results showed girls outperforming boys, girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 88.31% against 78.99% in the CBSE class 12 exams.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) declared the Class 12 results this afternoon on the official website of the board -- cbseresults.nic.in or cbse.nic.in. This year the results showed girls outperforming boys, girls outperformed boys with a pass percentage of 88.31% against 78.99% in the CBSE class 12 exams. 
The overall pass percentage saw an increase and has improved to 83.01% from last year’s 82.02%. Kerala’s capital Trivandrum recorded highest pass percentage of 97.32%, Chennai stood second with 93.87%, followed by Delhi at 89%.. Nearly 12 lakh students registered for the examinations in India. 
Who topped the exams? 
Ghaziabad’s Meghna Shrivastava of Step by Step School topped with 499 marks out of 500, she got an aggregate of 99.8% and became the all-India topper for Class 12 CBSE exams. Meghna said that she never expected to score 499 marks and is overwhelmed by the result; she scored 99 marks out of 100 only in English and got full marks in every other subject. Anuoushka Chandra from SAJ School came second with 498 marks. Seven students are tied at the third spot with 497 marks each. 
The Central Board of Secondary Education conducted the CBSE Class 12 examinations 2018 from 5 March - 13th April 2018, however a re-test was conducted for Economics after the question paper was leaked. 
Few hours after the result was released twitter overflowed with some rather entertaining tweets on the CBSE results. #CBSEResult2018 is currently trending on Twitter. As expected, people took to the micro-blogging site to share their thoughts on the results. However, there are also those who cannot help but shares jokes on the announcement.
From jokes on Sharma ji ka beta/beti to jokes about relatives' reactions, Twitter is overflowing with some rather entertaining tweets. 
Now that the Class 12 result is declared, the Class 10 results are expected to be announced within a couple of days.
