Sunil Chhetri and Team Lift the Intercontinental Cup for India

After an emotional video by the captain regarding the attendance in the stadiums, the support for the Indian Football Team has exponentially increased. This support has been the main reason for the record breaking win against Kenya, Monday night.

After scoring 2 goals in this match, Sunil Chhetri has become the highest international goal scorer* along with Lionel Messi at 64 goals second only to Christiano Ronaldo who is at 81 goals.
The first goal came in the 8th minute, a flick from a free-kick. In the 29th minute, the Indian captain tracked a long-ball by Anas Edathodika, slid past the Kenyan defenders,took some time, and unleashed a strike into the right-bottom corner to match levels with Messi. After that, he ran to the spectators, who answered his call to come to stadium and support the team with full-house, and blew them a kiss as a gesture of thanks. In response, the stadium roared. The Mumbai Football arena that seats 18,000 was reportedly full-house.
